Lincoln Talks to Piermont's Young People

The Piermont Village School was host to Abraham Lincoln this morning. He was introduced to students, community members and two local news reporters by Miss Alyvia and Sergeant Michael, both eight grade students dressed in authentic Civil War costumes. "All stand," commanded Sergeant Michael as President Lincoln strode into the room. The rousing and contemplative talk by Lincoln was followed by lots of questions from students.

Steve Wood was an exemplary President Lincoln. Thank you, Humanities to Go, for sponsoring this program and others like it for New Hampshire residents.
